THE OUTSIDE
Katie measures in at 5 feet tall, with blonde wavy hair that's layered, with the longest layer at roughly the bottom of her shoulder blade. She is without bangs, having grown them out after The Happening, giving her brown eyes a clear view of the world around her. More often than not, she wears an elastic around her wrist, and has grown very good at whipping her hair into a bun close to her head in five seconds flat. She wears earrings, but they're most often small hoops that barely close the bottom of her earlobe - she'll wear longer ones when out for the night, but not day-to-day. Other jewelry she wears is a sterling silver clauddaugh ring on her right ring finger, and a leather charm bracelet on her right wrist. She only occasionally wears necklaces, preferring to have her neck bare and free of anything that could be used to choke her. Finally, she most often has dark circles under her eyes that stand out against her pale complexion. 

Her build is a relatively small one, making her features look pointed and her stature bony, but she still has pronounced curves. She almost always wears pants, typically jeans or something like a yoga pant to accommodate the physical demands of hunting, and can vary her style from a jacket, leather or jean, with spiked accessories, blouses with a cartigan, or short-sleeved shirts with a grey, sleeveless hoodie. While hunting, she'll typically throw on a gray army-style jacket with a short-sleeved shirt. She is almost alway seen in something she can run in - a boot or a running shoe, depending on the day. Finally, she almost always carries with her a purple messenger bag, unless about to go out on a hunt.

THE INSIDE

When you look around busy room, Katie isn't the first person you're going to notice. She'll probably be standing in a group of people, listening to the conversation, but she's not likely to say something immediately. She'll listen to the conversation and form her own opinion, saying something if she feels it will add value, but mostly likes to keep her cards close to her chest. She has a hard time trusting other people, but will be polite to people she meets, attempting to make conversation if it's clear the other person won't do it. She most often is the one scanning the room for potential threats, and once she walks into a place you can guarantee she's already seen two ways out. 

Calm, rational, almost to the point of being distant at times, Katie is definitely a thinker. That's not to say that she isn't aware of other peoples' perspectives and feelings, but more often than not she feels that her time is better spent on strategy. She enjoys being independent, and doesn't like relying on others to get important things accomplished, but realizes that working together, especially on something as large as hunting, is key, and tries to give back as much as she takes or uses, to avoid being in debt. She likes to be efficient, getting the job done as quickly and thoroughly as possible, given that she's taken on a sizeable part of Ontario as her jurisdiction. She hates putting other people in danger, and will more likely than not be the first person to sign up for a dangerous task, mostly because she doesn't want anyone else getting hurt (this goes doubly if it's for protecting her friends, and mostly comes from the fact that she does not want injuries or deaths on her conscience). She's lost a lot of her adventurousness, though, and prefers to not go looking for trouble if she doesn't have to (other than investigating possible supernatural beings).

Ever since The Trickster came around, Katie has been even more closed off than her normal introverted self. While she's still semi-social on occasion, she prefers to keep her hunting activities as a secondary priority to her schoolwork when she can, and finds that the stress load gets to be too much. As the kind of person that doesn't like to admit weakness, she'd rather retreat than admit something is not alright. She has begun carrying a knife, and has become even more vigilant than in the past. At the same time, she has trouble getting to sleep, and is plagued with nightmares from past hunts when she does, so more often than not, she can be found on her computer, looking up lore and hunting techniques until she falls asleep. Rigid and disciplined, though, she's sure to get up for her classes, even as she juggles a university life with her hunting. However, she is susceptible to anxiety and flashbacks, which can be potentially debilitating in midst of a hunt, but has struggled to keep this aspect under tight control.

THE PAST

Katie had a fairly normal childhood. Growing up, she enjoyed imagining games of danger and action, and wanted to grow up to be a part of the criminal justice system. She was always good at seeing the psychological/sociological sides of things, and always had a strong sense of duty. After a short while of joining TDF and meeting her daemon, The Trickster caused her world to turn upside down, and although she survived the entire onslaught, seeing her friends die repeatedly and having to shoot demons & hellhounds & the like has taken its toll on her. She still does what needs to be done, but can detach herself from the issue if it grows to be too much. If there's something morally amiss, she almost always sticks to a utilitarian view, but is not without compassion. 

Being at university, she has developed a strong sense of independence, and is happy to have her family no longer worried about her. She's begun to expand her hunting skills and adventures, since she wasn't as eager to do so when her family was nearby. Now, she lives in an apartment-style residence where it's all too easy to keep her roommates in the dark as to what she does when not in class.

TJ - one of her best friends from the forum, the semi-regularly text to exchange information on hunting and occasionally join each other on big hunts when they can. Their personalities complement each other nicely, and they work wonderfully together, making Katie a little protective of her mindtwin when she's doing a hunt alone.
