Okay so we really need to establish a time frame and outline, in detail, the background for how daemons became corporeal so that new members can create a backstory for their hunter!selves. This is my description of how I understand it, and I am very welcome to discuss anything that needs to be ironed out for this to make sense! C:
1. How did the daemons manifest? As I understand it, The Trickster began this whole mess by placing forumer's daemons in their closest pets. Then, these forumers started getting attacked by demons. The Trickster reveals that he had done this to "buy them time" because demons want to either possess the forumer's "souls/daemons" or kill them. For those who never had a close pet, they might have been spared this mess- OR they could have been killed by demons and Gabriel saved them.
2. When did this all happen? Kevana posted Self-Possessed (SP) in the summer of 2010. If we go along this timeline, then Ministers of Grace (MoG) happened four months later in the fall of 2010. This was all written as an alternate universe (AU) to Supernatural at the end of Season 5. This story was never completed- but Kevana gave us an ending for the sake of this RP:
3. Where does this start our story? Well, if we follow Kevana's plot-line, then any hunter/daemian in this storyline must have chosen to keep their daemons and become hunters. We're now in the fall of 2013, so it's been three years since the end of this disaster. My thought was that hunter!daemians had to fend off the occasional demon or monster, but that it wasn't necessarily too serious that they couldn't continue with school or whatever. Of course, you can always have chosen to skip out wherever you were and become a full-range hunter, that's cool. If you want to think of what happens in Supernatural since Season 5...
Now I think it's more serious with the current season of Supernatural. Demons have been running amok
SO, what are the options for people who want to start if they haven't been in the story officially?
> Just write yourself in. Forumers who weren't mentioned in SP/MoG could have been there, just never got explicitly mentioned. You can make up a story about how your pet was possessed (or not possessed), how you died or ended up talking to Gabriel, fighting cerberus and all the emotional baggage you now carry... etc. And guess what? Even if you don't know them, you know quite a few of the forumers by name in real life because you all spent some time at Chuck E Cheese and that was pretty cool. It's important for you to also know why you decided to keep your daemon rather than return to normal human life.

I planned on revealing that daemons when separated tended to attract monsters, hence the people bumping into a lot of them. Gabriel was going to reveal himself and announce that he was doing all this to give the hunters an army who could fight demons because Crowley was trying to take over and Gabe had decided humans were worth fighting for. Eventually they hook up with Castiel and the Winchesters and basically wage war against the demons and monsters.
Meanwhile MOG-Kev had been deceived by Raphael into hunting down the parts of Cerberus and chaining her with that piece of chain from Hell. Some of the others join in the search across North America, fighting monsters and catching the pieces of Cerberus before Crowley’ s henchmen can. Ultimately they piece together Cerberus and because they were nice to her, she helps them fight off the demons and Crowley and even kills Raphael when he tries to betray them.
Then Gabriel gives them the choice of remaining split, knowing that any remaining monsters would continue targeting them and their families forever, or merging back to normal without being separated. And Cerberus is basically a giant sweet puppy who falls in love with Sam and Dean lets her stay because she’s terribly powerful and basically nothing will ever cross the Winchesters again while she’s around. And because Sam finally gets to have a dog in the Impala.
So Gabriel decides to cowboy up and run heaven once Raphael is gone, Cas gets to hang around the Winchesters forever, Crowley doesn’t have much of a kingdom to rule, Adam busts out of Hell, and MOG-Kev gets her name cleared. The TDFers either choose to keep their daemons and become hunters or don’t and go back to their lives. The end.

Lucifer is back in the cage. The king of the Crossroads- Crowley is the new ruler of hell. Leviathans rose to power. Then Sam and Dean are trying to close hell. If I were a demon- I'd be more focused on them than some new hunter brats who have these daemon things that are indestructible.
