Elsie
So ding dong
there's the doorbell
Hello man in black
he's gonna make you all well
there's no going back
Would you look at that, he does show up in pictures!

The Human
Name: Ella Larsson
Nickname: Elsie
Birthdate: November 4th 1994
Age: 19
Species: Human, Dæmian
Gender/Pronouns: Female, (she/her)
Let me tell you 'bout a dream I had the other night
You were in it boy you sure gave me a super fright
I was walking down the street
downtown by the DMV
you popped out behind a door
it was odd you were on all fours

Her Dæmon
Name: Periander
Nickname: Perry
Forms: Primarily grey striped cat and eastern pygmy possum. On occasion sparrow, squirrel, cougar, falcon and sardine.
Gender/Pronouns: Male, (he/his)
Personality: Less emotional than his human, has little personal interest in other people. But he can be playful or sarcastic to cheer her up, and engage with people when she dare not. He usually stays close to Elsie, either on her shoulders or arms or walking right beside her.
Maybe this man of letters lied
Her VesselGenerally: She is 1,65 m, 5,41 ft. She is slender, and prefers to stay rather androgynous looking, neither too feminine nor masculine.
Eye colour: blue eyes, darker than those of her dæmon.
Hair colour: dark blonde and reaches down to her jaw. Relatively straight, she let it mind its own business as long as it doesn't get in her eyes.
Skin colour: Her skin is light, but darker than her Nordic heritage could have given her.
Clothing: Elsie likes layers. She will be very uncomfortable if the weather is too hot for anything less than two, and generally prefers three. Her “uniform” usually consists of a black t-shirt, over which she wears a plaid shirt. Sometimes she swaps the shirt for a knitted cardigan. Over this she wears a long light brown coat or a short green jacket. She wears jeans and black boots or trainers. Lastly she wears a green scarf, but on the more risky hunts she will grudgingly leave it behind.
Accessories: She always wears a silver heart-pendant necklace, a Christmas present from a fellow TDFer. Originally it had a picture of her dæmon on one side and his name on the other, but after being separated and taking up hunting she replaced them with a picture of her family and an anti-possession symbol.
Other: Her arms, legs and face are often covered with scratches and small wounds, due to chronically dry skin and general carelessness. She doesn’t care for make-up or other details.

Her Soul
First impression:
The first time you meet Elsie, you’ll probably think she seems nervous, like a squirrel or small bird, but cheery and intellectual. That is an image she likes for herself and one she keeps, even if it isn’t always true. Any of it.
Tropes:
>The Heart: Elsie is not the bravest, or the most knowledgeable or skilled person, but at least she is in tune with her and others’ feelings. She always takes her emotions and morals into account when making decisions, and her empathic nature makes her suffer with those who hurt, and want to help them to the best of her ability. She always cherishes her experiences, and even after all that’s happened in her life, she is still amazed by what she sees.
>Heroic Safe Mode: Being emotional can obviously come in the way of important actions, so when it is necessary, Elsie will shut off her own feelings to get things done and to care for others. And even when she doesn’t shut them off, she will hide negative emotions or those that can complicate situations or relations.
>Encyclopaedic Knowledge: Elsie picks up knowledge whenever she gets it. She learns quickly, and it has become a part of her self-image. She know a bit about anything, and she loves sharing what she knows – it is one of few ways she manage to keep up a normal conversation with people. But she prefers to get her information passively, through conversation. If she encounters something she doesn’t know, she will generally not ask questions, but observe until she has connected the dots herself.
>Not Good with People: What are you talking about, people are brilliant! But they are also unpredictable and intimidating, and it will take Elsie quite some time to warm up to someone enough to be comfortable around them. She can trust them, trust what they say and their intentions, but she will be closed off and awkward around them until she feels she knows them enough to understand their actions and feelings.
>The Idealist: Even after all that’s happened, Elsie still believes that people (and some monsters) are good at heart, that they intentions are good even when their actions aren’t, and that everyone deserves a second chance. This can make her gullible and vulnerable to manipulation, and she is well aware of that, but she chooses to believe it anyway. She is optimistic at heart and is certain the future will turn out alright, one way or another.

Her World
History:
Growing up in central Stockholm, Sweden, Elsie and her twin had a calm, normal childhood. Living half a year in Liverpool awoke her love for travelling and the English language, and choosing a literature-focused class made her interested in writing and reading. After ninth grade, she started art school, and on the same time, she joined an exciting internet forum called TDF. She already knew her dæmon, but neither of them had any idea what was going to happen to them upon joining this obscure site.
Fast-forward one Dangerous Adventure, and you have Elsie, finally graduated from art school, with a now semi-corporeal dæmon by her side. During the remainder of her time in school after the event she occasionally took a day or two off to go hunt monsters in her immediate area, but the Hunter community in Sweden turned out to be surprisingly efficient, and while she could certainly get a place among them, she eventually decided to try hunting abroad.
Her classmates are finding simple jobs or apply to classes at the university. Elsie is deciding it is time to take a year off studies and go fight hell spawn in the US instead.
Possessions:
The first thing she did after learning the truth about the supernatural was to buy a knife, which she had seen in a local store and liked the idea of long before their demonic experience. She got a custom-made one, with half of the blade made of iron and the other made of silver, for maximum protection. Hidden as a part of her belt, she carries it with her all the time.
But when she has a choice she always avoids hand-to-hand combat, and for that purpose she reverted to an old interest of hers; firearms. Granted, her previous experience didn’t reach further than a school-assigned test run, but with the help of some (ordinary) hunters in her extended family she managed to get a good shotgun and a licence to use it.
Notable Family/Relations:
She keeps in constant digital contact with her twin sister, who is studying Linguistics at the University and knows all about Elsie’s current life-choices. She also keeps in touch with her parents and grandmother, although she doesn’t tell them as much about what’s actually going on.
She also makes sure to stay updated on TDF, especially now that she is going to the US. An nineteen-year old woman abroad alone for the first time would be in danger even without having demons on her tail. She is hoping to find some TDFer to join hunting with, at least until she gets the hang of the culture.
