Hey, guys, I know we don't usually like making new threads for things like this, but this is kind of a huge deal and I didn't want it to get buried under other posts.
My friend Mary has gone missing. Some of you guys might remember her, we've been friends for a long time and she was one of the TDFers who had her daemon materialize, though she didn't post much on TDF about it. She chose to remain a hunter for a little while, but recently retired to stay with her family and keep them safe. Or, at least, she's retired in the sense that she only hunts if she absolutely has to.
But here's the issue - her mom called yesterday, extremely concerned, asking if I knew where she'd been. She hadn't been in touch with me for a few days, but she does that sometimes, pretty supremely introverted, y'know. But she apparently has vanished from home entirely as of yesterday, and that is unlike her. Really unlike her. She's got a younger sister who struggles with mental health and a single mom, so she helps out a lot at home, and for her to just disappear is concerning. And knowing that she's a hunter, I'm positive some sort of foul play is going on.
I'm typing this using plane wifi; we bought tickets to fly up to Vancouver, WA, as soon as we found out something was up, and I know there are some hunters up in that area, particularly TDFers. We're landing soon, and I'll want to talk to her family first, obviously, but soon after that, I'd really appreciate meeting up with some of you guys and getting some help on this case. In return, we'll be glad to help out with anything you guys are working on.
